After 37 years of his reign and the country’s struggle due to shortage of funds. The Zimbabwe’s president, Robert Mugabe who refused to step down until his ouster by the country’s military early this week lived in luxury life.
Over the 37 years that he was president, Mugabe was accused of a lot, including genocide and embezzling public funds, while impoverishing his people. The wealth amassed during that period was able to get him a 25-bedroom mansion in Borrowdale, an affluent suburb of Zimbabwe’s capital Harare. The mansion is fit for a king and that’s where he’s presently being held under house arrest.
Although, he made his first public appearance today after the army’s fiasco.
