PDP Members From Oju Local Government All Die On Their Way To Abba Morro’s Campaign Flaggoff In Benue South [GRAPHIC PHOTOS]


Tragedy  has struck in the Peoples Democratic  Party after  a vehicles conveying  members  from Oju  Local Government  to the flaggoff  campaign of former Interior  Minister, Comrade Abba  Moro  all dies on their way to the venue. ‘

It was gathered that an on-coming  motorcycle reportedly rammed into the convoy of the Party members around  Ojinebe Village in Adoka, causing a Sienna Sports Utility Vehicle to lose control, which resulted to the collision with the eighteen-seater bus and a Volkswagen vehicle killing 7 people at a spot.

 The party  faithfulls were said to be on their way to Agatu Local Government Area of the State for the flag-off of the senatorial election campaign.

Shortly after  the incidence, the PDP Senatorial  Aspirant  for Zone C, Moro, adressed his supporters where he stated that  seven  of the victims where members of the PDP  from  Oju Local Government  Area  while the other  three were occupants of a Sienna Bus from Iga Okpaya.

Moro  also added that, Governor Samuel Ortom had instructed that victims be moved to hospitals  for  proper treatment.  He also  said about  five people  had sustained various degrees of injuries. Meanwhile, the party has however, suspended  their  campaign until the deceased are laid to rest.
