Adamu Mohammed: Things You Need To know about new acting IGP



Yesterday, the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari confirmed and decorated Adamu Mohammed, as the country’s new acting Inspector General of Police following the exit of Ibrahim Idris. The appointment is to take immediate effect on the retirement of the former Police IG.

According to reports, Mr Adamu has Served as the Commissioner Of Police in Enugu State and currently the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone Five, in Benin ,Edo State.

He was born on November 9, 1961.

He was enlisted in the police in 1986 and also has a bachelor in geography.


He was at one time a director of peacekeeping operations. He is a former police commissioner in Enugu and was an AIG in charge Zone 5.
