Their resignation was announced in a widely televised statement by the country’s president.
Thieba, a former economist, had held the position since January 2016 when he was nominated by President Roch Marc Christian Kabore.
Although, no reason was given for their actions. But some reports are pointed to the recent high-profile disappearances of foreign nationals which made Mr Thieba resignation necessary, as well as that of his defence and security ministers.
President Kabore in his statement, expressed his gratitude for their service and said he hoped to form a new government soon.
