Jonathan and familyPictured above is a man identified as Isaiah Terungwa Jonathan who was gruesomely burnt to death with his entire household on Saturday.

Terungwa and his family lost their lives in a midnight inferno at Bawo Road in Kano metropolis,Platinum Post Reports.

The fire outbreak killed him, his wife, his three children including a newborn baby and the younger sister of his wife.

A source said the fire incident started from the sitting room and spread to other parts of the house.

“When we heard some noise at the early hours we thought robbers have visited us. But when we came out, we saw fire which burnt some part of the house and it became difficult to put out.

Isaiah and wife“We saw them trying to pull out the burglary proof. We couldn’t find ladder to get to their rescue,” he said.

Spokesman for Kano state police command, Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the incident, saying all the family members perished in the inferno.

“At about 03:25hrs, control room called and informed patrol team that there was fire incident at Link 39 Bawo Rd Hausawa.

“All the family members of one Mr Jonathan, including his wife, three children and their maid were burnt to ashes.

“The fire was put out with the help of men from Kano fire service,” Mr Kiyawa, a deputy superintendent of police, added.

This is sad. See the post he shared a day before hmand his family were burnt to death in their sleep.

His friends ,however have taken to internet to mourn his demise.
