SHOCKING: Benue Woman Arrested for Using Hot Pressing Iron on her child

 

Pictured above is little Miss Msuushima Ayila, a pupil at the renowned Nativity Private School Makurdi, Benue state. It was reported that her biological mum used a hot pressing iron to inflict wounds on her hands as a punishment for stealing a piece of meat from her pot.

According to Comrade Japheth Gurgur, who reported the case at the Benue Ministry of Women Affairs and

Social Development , he said, ‘I saw the little girl while on my way to work”.

I was at the Nativity Private School in the morning and saw this pupil being interrogated by her Teacher, upon enquiry, I was told her mother placed a hot pressing iron on her hand as a punishment for stealing a piece of meat from the pot. I am appealing to my good friend Atakpa U Benue who is one of the officers in charge Children Welfare to take appropriate action he wrote.

However, after the case was reported ,the Benue state government swung into action and took custody of the pupil. Later, the social media activist who reported the case took to his wall updating on the progress of the case and wrote;

On Monday, 15th July, 2019, we drew the attention of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development over a child whose mother used Hot Pressing Iron to inflict burns on over allegation of the daughter picking meat from the pot.

The Ministry responded swiftly and the matter is being officially handled as the little girl is currently in the custody of Benue State Government.

We want to specially thank the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps who also sent a team from their Human Rights Office to follow the situation to a logical conclusion.

Meanwhile, the woman has been taken to Police Headquarters for further Investigation and Necessary Action.

Finally, we appreciate the cooperation of Management of Nativity Private School.

The accused who they said is a single mum will be charged to court soon.
