Ibrahim El-Zakaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN),finally is set to leave the DSS custody to travel
to India for medical treatment.
This is coming after a court today ordered for his release and the Department of State Services (DSS) has
confirmed that it had received the order and are obey court orders.
Dr. Peter Afunanya, DSS Public Relations Officer, said this in a statement issued on Monday.
He disclosed that the Shiites leader will be released immediately.
“Consequently, the Service is liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance.
“Conformity with the order is in line with the Service’s avowed commitment to the Rule of Law inherent
in a democracy”, it added.
